Privacy & Data Use
This page explains what information is collected, how it is used, how aggregated outputs are produced, and what controls members have.
Last updated: February 18, 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to Peptiscope website and member features, including account access, report submission, and aggregate results views.
2. Information We Collect
- Account and authentication data: email, user ID, session/auth metadata needed for login and security.
- Profile data: username and optional demographics if provided by the member.
- Report data: structured fields submitted by members (for example category, peptide, route, outcomes, optional demographics).
- Operational/support data: help tickets, abuse-prevention signals, and basic technical logs required to operate and secure the service.
- Communication preferences: opt-in or opt-out preferences for optional longitudinal follow-up emails.
3. Information We Do Not Request in Reports
- Names, home addresses, phone numbers, or direct identity details.
- Contact details for third parties.
- Any sensitive identifiers not needed for platform operation.
Do not include identifying personal information in report text or custom fields.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide account login, session management, and account recovery.
- Store and display member-submitted report information.
- Compute aggregate trends, counts, and distributions.
- Send optional longitudinal follow-up prompts to improve long-term data quality when users have not opted out.
- Moderate abuse, enforce Terms, and protect platform integrity.
- Respond to support requests and improve reliability/usability.
5. Aggregation and De-Identification
Peptiscope is designed around aggregate outputs rather than publishing raw member data broadly. Demographic displays may be threshold-gated to reduce re-identification risk.
Aggregated, de-identified statistical outputs may be retained and used for platform analytics, product development, and related business purposes.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
- With core service providers needed to host, secure, and operate the platform.
- When required for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, or protection of rights.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or asset transfer (subject to appropriate continuity protections).
We do not sell personal information in the ordinary course of operating this service.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
8. Member Controls
- You can edit or delete your own reports from the dashboard.
- You can update profile and demographics from account settings.
- You can opt out of optional longitudinal follow-up emails when creating your account (and can request updates to this preference).
- You can contact us for account-related privacy requests via Contact.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be fully secure.
10. Age Restriction
The service is intended for adults and not for individuals under 18.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this page over time. Material updates will be reflected by the revised "Last updated" date.
12. Cookies and Browser Storage
