Cookie & Storage Policy

This page explains, in plain language, what browser storage Peptiscope uses, why it is used, and what controls you have.

Last updated: February 17, 2026

Quick summary

Peptiscope uses a small amount of browser storage so core features work: signing in, remembering your theme, and restoring unfinished report drafts. We do not use ad trackers in normal operation.

What gets stored in your browser

  • Login session: peptiscope-auth keeps you signed in securely between page loads.
  • Theme preference: peptiscope-theme-v2 remembers light/dark mode.
  • Report draft autosave: peptiscope_report_draft_v1:<user-id> helps restore an unfinished report.
  • Client fallback copy: peptide_reports_v1 stores a local backup copy of submitted report payloads.

Third-party security services

Login and signup may load Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. Turnstile may set its own cookies/storage on Cloudflare domains as part of security checks.

What we do not use

Peptiscope does not currently use third-party ad-network cookies or behavioral advertising trackers as part of normal platform operation.

Your controls

  • Clear site data in browser settings at any time.
  • Block third-party cookies if you prefer (this can affect CAPTCHA in stricter browser modes).
  • If you clear storage, you will be signed out and unsaved drafts may be lost.
